Privacy policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
The short version. Mythic Catch LLC makes software for Pokémon tournaments. Our website collects almost nothing: no cookies, no accounts, just a contact form and cookie-free visit counts. Our apps handle tournament data on behalf of the organizers who run events, which means names, Player IDs and results, and for some features an email address or date of birth. We use that data to run the event and for nothing else. We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and you can ask us to delete it at hello@mythiccatch.com.

Who we are
Mythic Catch LLC ("Mythic Catch", "we", "us") is a Georgia limited liability company. We make the website at mythiccatch.com and the apps Ruloo and Judge Call. This policy covers all three. Where an app has its own, more specific notice, that notice applies alongside this one.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by The Pokémon Company International, Nintendo, Creatures Inc. or GAME FREAK inc. "Play! Pokémon" and "Pokémon" are their trademarks. We do not send any data to them except where an organizer does so through the official tournament software, which is outside our apps.
The website (mythiccatch.com)
Visiting the site sets no cookies and requires no account. We collect:
- Visit statistics. We use Umami, a cookie-free analytics service, to count visits and see which pages, referring sites, countries, browsers and devices are common. It does not store your IP address or build a profile of you, and it cannot recognize you across sites. If your browser blocks trackers, it is simply not counted.
- Contact form. If you use the form, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you type. Netlify, which hosts the site, stores the submission and emails it to us. We use it only to reply to you.
- Server logs. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type, timestamps) for a short period for security and operations.
Ruloo
Ruloo is a web app that helps organizers run Pokémon Trading Card Game tournaments: live pairings, standings, judge calls, deck checks and, for some events, registration and payment. Organizers act as the event host and decide which features to turn on; we process the data on their behalf.
Players
Most players use Ruloo without an account by entering an event code. Depending on which features the organizer has enabled, Ruloo may hold:
- Name and Play! Pokémon Player ID, imported from the organizer's roster (the official tournament software, "TOM") or entered by the player.
- Birth year, from the roster, used to place players in the Junior, Senior or Masters division.
- Date of birth, only if the player (or a parent) submits a decklist online, because the official decklist form requires it.
- Decklist, only if submitted online.
- Self-reported match results, only if the organizer turns that feature on.
- Email address, only if the player registers for a paid or pre-registered event or creates an account, used to send the receipt and event information.
- Registration and payment status (registered, paid, refunded) and a Stripe payment reference. Card numbers are entered directly with Stripe and never reach us.
- Penalties, notes and late arrivals that judges record during the event.
Organizers, judges and store staff
These users have accounts. We hold the account email and name, Player ID, role and staff assignments, any store details they choose to enter (store name, address, phone, public email), the store's Stripe Connect status, and feedback submitted in the app.
What is public
Pairings and standings are shown publicly during an event so players can find their table. For Junior and Senior players, last names are masked. Everything else is visible only to the event's organizer and judges.
What we use it for
Running the event: pairings, the round clock, judge calls, deck checks, division placement, registration and payment, and keeping a record of penalties for the organizer. Also keeping the service working and secure, and answering support requests. We do not use tournament data for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Judge Call
Judge Call is an app for judges to log calls and rulings during an event. It is designed to work without an account and without a signal. The log you create stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it. We do not receive it. The app may use the operating system's standard crash reporting, which does not include your log contents. If a future version adds optional sync or accounts, we will update this policy before that version ships.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the companies that help us run the service, and only what they need:
- Event organizers and their judges, who see the data for the events they run.
- Hosting and database providers (including Netlify for the website and Supabase for Ruloo's database), which store data on our behalf in the United States.
- Stripe, for event payments and organizer payouts. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment details you give it.
- Patreon, where organizers use a Patreon membership to access Ruloo; we receive confirmation of membership status.
- Umami, for cookie-free website statistics.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect the safety of players or staff at an event, or as part of a sale or merger of the company, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Children
Pokémon tournaments include Junior and Senior divisions, so Ruloo necessarily handles information about players under 18, including some under 13. We take that seriously:
- Information about a child comes from the event organizer's official roster or is entered by a parent or guardian on the child's behalf; we do not ask children to create accounts or market to them.
- We collect only what the event needs: name, Player ID, birth year, and where a decklist is submitted online, date of birth and the decklist.
- Junior and Senior last names are masked on public pairings and standings.
- A parent or guardian can ask to see or delete their child's information at any time by emailing hello@mythiccatch.com, and we will respond promptly. An organizer may need to keep a minimal record of the event's results.
How long we keep data
Website contact-form messages are kept as long as needed to reply and for our records. Tournament data in Ruloo is kept for as long as the organizer needs it to run and reconcile the event, after which it is deleted or anonymized; organizers can delete their events, and we are working toward automatic deletion of event data on a fixed schedule. Account information is kept while the account is active and deleted on request. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to a use of it, by emailing hello@mythiccatch.com. We will verify the request and respond within 30 days. If you are a player at an event, the quickest route is often the organizer, who controls the event's data; we will help either way. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy laws, and we will honor them.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to tournament data is limited to the organizer and judges of that event and to our own staff when needed for support, and payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For material changes affecting Ruloo or Judge Call users, we will also post a notice in the app or on this site before the change takes effect.
